The Town of Dallas Plantation administers a General Assistance program for the support of the persons in need. Pursuant to Title 22 MRSA s4305, the municipal officers have adopted an ordinance establishing the program. A copy of this ordinance is available for public inspection at the Town Office.
Applications for General Assistance may be made at the Town Office during business hours. Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri 8-12 & 1-3:30. Or, after hours by calling the Franklin County non-Emergency Dispatch phone number 207-778-6140. The General Assistance Administrator must issue a written decision regarding eligibility within 24 hours of receiving an application.
In case of an emergency, applicants should dial 211.
